As a nationally ranked residential liberal arts university in the heart of North Tacoma, the University of Puget Sound is a vital campus comprised of places to discover, explore, pursue and exchange ideas. The physical characteristics of the campus — its architecture, open spaces, pathways, and landmarks — have a tremendous influence on the experience of campus life and learning. In fall 2003, the university began the first phase of a 20-year master plan. This comprehensive plan will build on the university's strengths and make improvements that will enhance the value of the institution for all who participate in the life of the campus.
