Academic Convocation is a celebration of student achievement and takes place on Saturday, May 9, at 2 p.m. in Schneebeck Concert Hall. The event will feature remarks by a student and faculty speaker and the presentation of university awards. Awards range from accolades for research, creative work, academics, and service to a department/program. Invitations to the students who will be recognized on stage or in the program will be sent by email on April 15, 2025. All students, family members, and friends are welcome to attend the ceremony and support the achievements of their peers. For information about Convocation, visit the Academic Convocation page.
Members of the Class of 2026, families, guests, faculty, and staff are invited to the Commencement Brunch on Sunday, May 11, in Wheelock Student Center. Brunch will be served in The Diner, with communal seating available in lower and upper Marshall Hall.
Information on purchasing brunch tickets will be available at the beginning of the spring semester.
This celebration is led by graduates from diverse backgrounds with support from University Chaplain Rev. Dave Wright '96. All graduates and families are welcome to participate in the program in ways appropriate for their own spiritual and religious identities.
Put on your cap and zip up your gown and meet your classmates in Karlen Quadrangle to assemble for the procession to Baker Stadium. Please plan to take any personal photographs prior to the lineup—this will be a busy time, and we need your full attention to start your last student walk across campus on the right foot.
The stadium gates open for seating at noon, with the ceremony beginning at 2 p.m. The ceremony will end at approximately 4:30 p.m.
