Mind, Brain, and Education is an interdisciplinary field devoted to improving the practice of teaching through a three-way dialog among psychologists, neuroscientists, and educators. In this talk, I will trace the development of the field and discuss some of its core ideas in the hope of stimulating this type of three-way dialog on our campus. I will also share some of the ideas and observations that I have come upon in my own study of the field.
