Service Announcements

Technology Services utilizes an Incident Communication Plan to facilitate timely communication regarding technology maintenance and service interruptions to Puget Sound Critical Services. As part of this plan, Technology Services posts announcements on this page and encourages Puget Sound community members to sign up for our TS Communications listserv.

To opt in to the TScommunications listserv:

1. Navigate to https://mailweb.pugetsound.edu/mailman/listinfo 
2. Locate TScommunications from the list and click on the name.
3. Fill out the information in the “Subscribing to TScommunications” section.

    DOMAIN CONTROLLER: System Reboot

    Friday, June 22 from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m..

    REASON FOR IMPACT: Technology Services will be rebooting our domain controllers early Friday morning as part of an install for new services. There should be little to no impact related to these reboots, although there is a chance that you will have to login again to a Puget Sound site or application.

    vDesk: System Maintenance

    Wednesday, June 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

    REASON FOR IMPACT: Technology Services will be performing routine maintenance on the vDesk environment to install updated security certificates. The only impact of this work is that you may be directed back to the vDesk login screen where you will need to log back in to continue working.

    SYSTEM: Phone – Maintenance for Secondary (Backup) System – COMPLETE

    June 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

    REASON FOR IMPACT: TS has completed maintenance on our secondary (back-up) phone system. This work was done as part of a larger effort to migrate our phone system to newer hardware.
