Service Announcements

Technology Services utilizes an Incident Communication Plan to facilitate timely communication regarding technology maintenance and service interruptions to Puget Sound Critical Services. As part of this plan, Technology Services posts announcements on this page and encourages Puget Sound community members to sign up for our TS Communications listserv.

To opt in to the TScommunications listserv:

1. Navigate to https://mailweb.pugetsound.edu/mailman/listinfo 
2. Locate TScommunications from the list and click on the name.
3. Fill out the information in the “Subscribing to TScommunications” section.

    REASON FOR IMPACT: Network Services will be performing a test of our telephone system. This will not impact outbound calls, but may cause inbound calls to fail.

    Friday, July 19th @ 5 p.m. to Sunday, July 21st @ 8 p.m.

    REASON FOR IMPACT: Technology’s Services updated myPugetSound and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions to a more recent version so we have a secure and reliable environment. myPugetSound and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions will still look and feel the same as they did prior to the planned maintenance.

  • {Howarth Hall} Network/ Phone Outage, June 28 [COMPLETE]

    Network: Planned Network/ Phone Outage in Howarth Hall COMPLETE

    REASON FOR IMPACT: Technology Services is replacing network switches in Howarth Hall. Wireless and wired (Ethernet) connections to the Internet will not be available during the maintenance window. Devices impacted include phones, computers, printers, card access to the building, elevator emergency phone, and any other network devices. Note that this is only impacting Howarth Hall; all other areas on campus will have available wireless and phone access.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

    ·         Campus members needing access to Howarth Hall during the maintenance window should call security at 253.879.3311.

    ·         The elevator in Howarth Hall will not be available during the maintenance window due to the emergency phone not being available for use.

    ·         Other network devices not stated above may need to be rebooted after the maintenance window.

    ·         If you have a concern related to the maintenance window please contact the TS Service Desk via phone at 253-879-8585 or via email at servicedesk@pugetsound.edu.
