Service Announcements

Technology Services utilizes an Incident Communication Plan to facilitate timely communication regarding technology maintenance and service interruptions to Puget Sound Critical Services. As part of this plan, Technology Services posts announcements on this page and encourages Puget Sound community members to sign up for our TS Communications listserv.

To opt in to the TScommunications listserv:

1. Navigate to https://mailweb.pugetsound.edu/mailman/listinfo 
2. Locate TScommunications from the list and click on the name.
3. Fill out the information in the “Subscribing to TScommunications” section.

    SYSTEMS IMPACTED:

    o   DEV: All PeopleSoft DEV environments will be unavailable [PA91DEV, CS92DEV, FN92DEV, HR92DEV]

    o  TST: All PeopleSoft TST environments will be unavailable [PA91TST, CS92TST, FN92TST, HR92TST]

     

    REASON FOR IMPACT: 

    o    Standard maintenance to maintain a secure, reliable environment

    REASON FOR IMPACT: The network / phone system is currently experiencing momentary outages in some campus locations. Phones, wireless, and wired connections are impacted. Network team is investigating.

    Moodle: System Maintenance

    Friday, December 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.

    REASON FOR IMPACT: Technology Services will be performing maintenance on Moodle (moodle.pugetsound.edu) during this window that will enable the use of Turnitin during the spring semester. TS anticipates that the outage for Moodle will be less than 5 minutes, although Moodle may be inaccessible for the full 15 minutes as needed.

    REASON FOR IMPACT: The network / phone system will be taken offline in Thomas Hall to replace a faulty battery backup system that partially failed earlier this week.

    PeopleSoft Campus and myPugetSound: System Issues – RESOLVED

    Friday, November 30 from 11:15 a.m. to 11:20 a.m

    REASON FOR IMPACT: Customers experienced issues logging in to PeopleSoft Campus due to database contention that resolved itself. Technology Services will continue to monitor the system.

     

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

    ·         You should now be able to log in to myPugetSound and PeopleSoft Campus with no issue.
