Aaron Tran
Aaron is the Director of Educational Technology at the University of Puget Sound. With a passion for leveraging technology to enhance teaching and learning, Aaron brings a wealth of experience in educational leadership and instructional technology. He has a proven track record of fostering inclusive, technology-enhanced learning environments and is committed to promoting student success through innovative educational practices. Prior to joining UPS, Aaron served as the Director of Educational Technologies at Pierce College District, where he led initiatives to reduce barriers and create equity-centered, culturally engaging programs. He holds a Master's degree in Adult Education & Training from Seattle University and is pursuing a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Northcentral University.

Kevin Kirner
Kevin is the Educational Technologist for the Arts & Humanities. He joined the University of Puget Sound in January, 2020. He holds a Master’s degree in American Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Documentary Film from Lehigh University and a Bachelor’s degree in Cinema & Photography from Ithaca College. He specializes in nonfiction and fiction filmmaking, critical media studies, public facing scholarship, and digital humanities. Kevin is a Canvas administrator. He helps faculty create multimodal assignments, including podcasts, video projects, and blogs, and he is interested in text mining methods and visualization tools.

Paul Monaghan
Paul is the Educational Technologist for Math & Sciences. He has been with the University of Puget Sound since March 1997. He is an alum of UPS and former work study student in Technology Services. Paul maintains the computer labs and servers for the Sciences as well as other technology located in Thompson and Harned Hall. Paul enjoys playing basketball, running, and hiking when he is not working. His speciality is scientific software and hardware, and he provides support for student labs, research, and Google Workspace applications.

Rachel Chaban
Rachel is the Instructional Designer for Educational Technology at the University of Puget Sound. With a passion for creating accessible and engaging eLearning experiences, Rachel brings diverse experience from corporate ed tech, LMS companies, and higher education. She has a proven track record of designing inclusive, student-centered learning environments that prioritize accessibility and engagement. Rachel holds a Bachelor’s in American Studies from University of California, Davis, a Master of Education from Arizona State University, and a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design and eLearning from University of California, Irvine. She specializes in accessible learning experience design, eLearning development, graphic design for digital learning, LMS administration, and Universal Design for Learning. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys traveling, exploring coffee and tea shops with her husband and their shih tzu and pursuing creative interests in alternative music, poetry, and painting.
