CHWS offers blood draws, TB screening, urine analysis, and other routine lab and point-of-care testing. Labs that are not processed in-house are sent to Quest Laboratories.
If the total cost of lab work sent to Quest is more than $100, Quest may bill the student’s insurance directly. CHWS does not bill insurance on behalf of students.
To use insurance at Quest, students must provide a current insurance card at the appointment when labs are collected.
- Labs totaling more than $100: Quest may bill the student’s insurance directly, provided a current insurance card is provided at the time of the blood draw.
- Labs totaling less than $100: The charges will be billed to the student’s account.
- No insurance card provided: The charges will be billed to the student’s account, regardless of the total cost of the labs.
- Students covered by Kaiser must have labs drawn at a Kaiser lab in order to be covered by insurance.
