The faculty's class attendance policy assumes regular classroom attendance. For this reason, students will not be allowed to register for two courses which meet during the same time period. If a student finds no alternative to registering for courses that meet within the same time period, a Time Conflict Petition can be requested from the Office of the Registrar (Jones Hall, room 13). The student must write a statement to explain why it is necessary to take both courses during the same term. The petition must be signed by the instructor of each course that is affected by the time conflict. The student's advisor must also sign the petition. The petition must be submitted to the Office of the Registrar prior to the last day to add for the term. If the petition is approved, the student will be permitted to take both courses.
