We are honored to have you as part of our community! The staff of the International Programs Office are committed to providing each of you the same welcome, kindness and hospitality that we have received when living abroad. We very much appreciate the unique perspectives and experiences each of you bring to the Puget Sound campus.
In this time of shifting immigration policies we want to reiterate and amplify our message of welcome and support. We are following closely the executive orders, and accompany litigation, that may impact the ability of people to enter, or stay in, the U.S. If you want more information about the executive orders and subsequent lawsuits and temporary stays, we recommend this webpage which is being updated as need by our professional organization, NAFSA, to reflect the most recent information.
We recognize that the current climate has led to increased anxiety, especially around travel and immigration enforcement issues. We encourage all of you to review the following resources to become more familiar with your rights and to better understand what Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents may search on your electronic devices, etc.:
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need assistance or have any questions.
