The ASUPS President is the primary spokesperson of the organization. They set the broad goals and objectives of the ASUPS Cabinet and determine general executive policies for carrying them out. They also serve as a full voting member of the faculty and staff senates, a non-voting member of the ASUPS Senate, and a non-voting ex-officio student member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees.
Nate (he/him) is a junior majoring in politics and government with an emphasis in political theory. He is a leader who is passionate about helping others and excited to make ASUPS and campus more equitable, accessible, and engaging during his tenure.
Prior to his presidency, Nate served as the Director of Business Services under the Diodati administration. Though terms like “budget” and “services”—broadly, the role’s two principal responsibilities—are often prescribed impersonal or clinical connotations, the position allowed him, for the first time, to meaningfully serve his peers. It was this notion of service, of giving back to his community, that prompted him to run for ASUPS President.
