Office of the ASUPS President

The ASUPS President is the primary spokesperson of the organization. They set the broad goals and objectives of the ASUPS Cabinet and determine general executive policies for carrying them out. They also serve as a full voting member of the faculty and staff senates, a non-voting member of the ASUPS Senate, and a non-voting ex-officio student member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees.

About ASUPS President Archie Kerr '27

Archie is delighted to serve as president of the student body after successfully completing his terms as vice president (2025-26) and director of clubs & student interests (2024-25). Archie is a senior from Bend, Oregon, on a pre-law track with interdisciplinary majors in Business Leadership and German Studies, and a minor in Politics & Government. He is a three-time nominee and one-time winner of the Puget Sound Leadership Award, and is the co-founder and former treasurer of the Puget Sound Gender & Sexuality Alliance. Archie is dedicated to advancing shared governance at Puget Sound, and ensuring that university decisions are made with effective student input and with respect to the student perspective; he encourages all students to reach out to discuss any campus-related questions, concerns, or issues.
