Visit Puget Sound

The best way to get a true sense of the Puget Sound experience is by visiting.

The cornerstone of every Puget Sound visit is a two-hour session that includes both an information session led by an admission counselor and a student-led campus tour. These sessions are offered each weekday at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1 p.m., with the exception of university holidays.

In addition to the two-hour session, the following activities are available when classes are in session (check the visit scheduling calendar for availability):

  • interview with an admission representative (seniors and transfer students only)
  • sit in on a class
  • meet with a professor (seniors and transfers only)
  • overnight with a current student (seniors only, Monday through Thursday)
  • meet with a coach
  • tour the School of Music (available with the 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. sessions)

Want to visit on Saturdays? Sessions are offered on select Saturdays beginning in September at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Saturday sessions include a student-led tour and information session. Saturday interviews are limited, please call the Office of Admission at 253.879.3211 to request a Saturday interview.

Want to visit in March? Please be aware that Puget Sound's Spring Recess is from March 13, 2017, to March 17, 2017. Visitors may still register for information sessions and campus tours, but some options, such as class visits and academic appointments, will be unavailable.

Want to visit in the next five days? No problem! Just come to campus (No need to register!) and visit the Office of Admission located in Jones Hall. If you have questions call us at 253.879.3211.

Please plan on arriving at least 15 minutes prior to the start of your session in order to ensure that you receive a complete campus visit experience.

Group Visits

Group visits are offered from late September through April each year. If you are a group wanting to visit campus, please call Stephanie Knottingham (253.879.3989) at least two weeks in advance. Group tours are offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9 a.m. or 11 a.m. with an information session at 10 a.m. We can accommodate groups of up to 50 students and we require a chaperone for every 10 students. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide meal tickets to groups.

The Office of Admission is open year-round Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. During exam periods and university holidays, these schedules may be altered. For more specific closure information, please consult the Academic Calendar.
