The IRB has the following publications and media available:

  • A videotape entitled Protecting Human Subjects. This videotape is housed in the Collins Memorial Library, Media Services. The call number is R853 H8 P76 1986. This is a single tape divided into three parts:

    1. Evolving Concern: Protection for Human Subjects
    2. Balancing Society's Mandates: IRB Review Criteria
    3. The Belmont Report: Basic Ethical Principles and Their Application
  • A book from the National Research Council that belongs to the IRB entitled Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals. This book is currently available in Collins Memorial Library.

  • A copy of the National Institute of Health's Office of Protection from Research Risks (OPRR) Institutional Review Board Guidebook (IRB Guidebook) is currently available in the Office of the Academic Vice President, Jones 111. This document is also available online directly from NIH.
