Puget Sound Jazz Orchestra

Join us for an evening with the Puget Sound Jazz Orchestra directed by Jeff Chang. The program, From Havana to the Heartland, will include music by Machito, Paquita D. Rivera, Pat Metheny, and Bob Mintzer.

Tabla Concert: Abhiman Kaushal

Abhiman's Kaushal's credits span the globe, especially providing the rhythms for Ravi Shankar's world tours in the '90's, and in soundtracks for Philip Glass, National Geographic, and many Hollywood films, including Zoolander. As an educator, he maintains professorships at Herb Alpert's UCLA School of Music, UC Riverside, and the National Taiwan University.  He will be accompanied on Harmonium and vocals by Deepashri Joglekar, an educator whose students range in all ages through the northwest and as far away as Canada and India. Popular Music Ensemble

Join us for the Popular Music Ensemble directed by Rob Hutchinson and Dawn Padula. The program, Y2K and Beyond, will include music by Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, and more! The Popular Music Ensemble is part of the School of Music's Songwriting degree program launched in fall 2023, the first of its kind offered at a liberal arts university.
