The Swope Endowed Lecture supports speakers, artists, and lecturers to visit Puget Sound to deepen our engagement with issues related to faith, ethics, values, and religion in society. For Fall 2025, we are excited to welcome Dr. Vanessa Gomez Brake, the Senior Associate Dean for Religious and Spiritual Life at the University of Southern California. Dr. Gomez Brake’s keynote address is titled "At the Intersections of Faith, Identity, and Power: Disrupting Christian Hegemony in Higher Education." The lecture is free and open to the public, but tickets are required.

Regester Lecture with Ariela Tubert and Justin Tiehen
The John D. Regester Lecture series was established in 1965 to honor John Regester, who joined the Puget Sound faculty in 1924. The address is given by a member of the university who exemplifies the qualities of scholarship and intellectual integrity that professors and students have long associated with Regester, who taught philosophy and served as dean of the university and graduate school.

Vivaldi Violin Concert featuring Students of Gayane Grigoryan
If you love music composed by Antonio Vivaldi, we hope you can join us for this concert featuring student violinists from the university’s Community Music Department who will perform as soloists accompanied by their peers.
This energetic program will take place in Schneebeck Concert Hall at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2025.

Puget Sound Brass Camp Concert
Come listen to a concert presented by University Puget Sound’s Community Music department after a week long brass camp that brought student musicians together with college faculty instructors.
Campus 5K Walk/Run/Roll & Learn!
Join the Public Health Student Association for a campus wide 5K! This is a great opportunity to get outside, socialize, and de-stress during finals. The 5K course is 2.5 loops on campus, and participants can walk/run/roll through the full course or just do part! Snacks and water will be provided, and along the course, read signage to learn more about careers in public health! Start time is between 10am - 11am and all participants should plan to finish by 1pm. Friendly, leashed, and well-socialized dogs are welcome to participate as well!
