Blues Vespers - great music, a poem or two, and a little something to think about - continues our spring series by welcoming back Ben Hunter & Joe Seamons.  Ben and Joe (https://www.benjaminhuntermusic.com/benjoemusic) focus on bringing music from voices often silenced in American culture.    Their award-winning performances are highlighted by story-telling that, rather than bringing the past to life, vividly shows how the past still lives in the present.  Through their songs, audiences witness current issues crop up again and again in folk songs, dance tunes, acoustic blues, and prison ballads.

Vespers is open to campus and community, and is hosted by the University Chaplaincy in partnership with Pastor Dave Brown, the founder of Blues Vespers in Tacoma 27+ years ago.
