DrOT Essay Directions

All applicants must compose an essay that addresses the topics listed below. Applicants should organize the content in a way that best demonstrates their professional narrative and future career goals (i.e., simply addressing the three topics in isolation is not as compelling as a well-organized and integrated statement).

Applicants will be required to upload their essay directly within the application as a PDF. Please embed your name in the file name for association with your application file. The essay must be typed, double-spaced, using 12-point font, and be no more than 1500 words. The applicant’s name must appear on the cover page of the document along with a precise essay word count.
