Please save the date for our annual commemoration of the incarceration of Japanese American Citizens following Executive Order 9066. This year we are pleased to welcome Author Kiku Hughes to campus to discuss her book Displacement - A graphic novel in which a teenager is pulled back through time to witness her grandmother's experiences in World War II Japanese internment camps.  She will be doing a book signing at the event.

The University of Puget Sound is happy to host the South Sound’s happiest holiday celebration in support of MultiCare Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital. Set against a backdrop of over 25 beautifully decorated trees, the whole family will enjoy a festive wonderland complete with kids’ activities, a gift shop and visits with Santa.

While the event is free to attend, we encourage guests to bring a donation of a new teddy bear, Play-Doh and/or Matchbox car to brighten the season for Mary Bridge Children’s patients.

What to expect:

The 45th Annual Festival of Lessons & Carols - Christmas at Kilworth - is set for Sunday, 12/7, at 7pm.  This pre-Christmas service, adapted from the original Festival begun in 1918 at King's College Chapel in Cambridge, UK. The service blends anthems by the Adelphian Concert Choir, readings from the Christian story of the birth of Jesus, and community singing of Christmas carols and hymns. Donations of warm winter clothing and new children's toys are welcome in support of the Bryant Neighborhood Center.

Everyone is invited to this multifaith panel and conversation about spirituality and peace, facilitated by Isa Fitzgibbons '26 and featuring comments from Jamal Rahman (Muslim), Paula Fitzgibbons (Baha'i), and Dave Brown (Christian).
