The Neuroscience of Tarot - Book Launch

Art Science proudly features the book launch of "The Neuroscience of Tarot" by our very own Prof. Siddharth Ramakrishnan. Mixing Art, Science and Mysticism, the book moves from how we perceive images, form associations and metaphors, make intuitive leaps and gain insight. In this interactive workshop, Prof. Ramakrishnan will use brain maps and art to guide you through the neuroscience of imagery (using Tarot images as a tool). Talk, workshop and book signing.

Museums to Minds: Dynamic Data Visualization in Kinetic Sculpture

Come see the cross-discipline work of summer research students in action - data from the Neshyba Physical Chemistry Lab displayed on the kinetic sculpture constructed by Prof. Hirsh's summer research student. Watch the sculpture's movement through mathematical formulas and chemistry data and hear from the artist and scientists behind the piece. The sculpture will run through its 5-8 minute sequence every 20 minutes, so please drop-in and see what we've been working on - you might even learn something new!
