Faculty Athletic Representative - Professor of Education Fred Hamel (fhamel@pugetsound.edu, x3384) is Puget Sound's Faculty Athletic Representative for our NCAA Division III intercollegiate program. He is an excellent resource if questions arise about student-athletes.

This mailbox is used for campus-wide communication about matters of faculty governance and by the Provost's office for announcements. It is also where committee members send minutes for posting on the university’s website.

Puget Sound enjoys a very healthy collaboration among Academic and Student Affairs colleagues. We partner in residential first-year seminars, upper-division academic-residential programs, Student Alert Group, student orientation, and many other programs and events.
It has become a tradition for the faculty that, twice a semester, we meet as the Daedalus Society, to have dinner together and to hear one of our colleagues give a presentation on current work. All faculty are members of the Society, and there are no fees -- only the cost of the dinner (which is subsidized by the Dean's office). All of us are invited to bring guests, especially students, spouses or partners. Look for invitations through facultycoms.
