Yes. If you have applied for a position that requests letters of reference, the system will require you to enter your reference providers' contact information. The system will send automated emails to these providers requesting them to upload a letter of reference on the next business day.
Should the position you applied for not require letters of reference, the search committee will contact your reference providers by phone if you are a finalist for the open position.
The search committee will contact you directly using the phone number(s) or email address listed on your application materials to set up an on-campus or phone interview. Our search process for open positions can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months. If you are not selected for an interview, you will receive a notice via email when the position is filled. We ask for your patience in waiting to hear back from the search committee directly.
The university regularly has needs for temporary staff for short- or limited-term temporary assignments. To indicate your interest in temporary work, you can apply for the temporary on-call pool position listed online at www.pugetsound.edu/employment. Each pool is open for six months, after which it is refreshed so that we may maintain an active list of individuals interested in temporary or on-call employment. If your skills and qualifications match an open temporary position, we will contact you directly to schedule an interview.
