Summer Dining and Catering

The Diner

All overnight programs during the summer months are required to take out a meal plan, and generally groups will eat most of their meals in The Diner (located in Wheelock Student Center). With a wide variety of meal options, as well as daily salad and cereal bars, The Diner is an excellent all-you-care-to-eat option for your group.

Each guest's residence hall access card also serves as their pass to The Diner during designated meal times! Participants commuting to your program may either be included in your program's meal plan and issued a commuter meal pass, or they may elect to individually purchase their own meals at the door. For the summer, breakfast is served from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and dinner is served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.. Guests are also welcome to purchase snacks or beverages à la carte until 3pm on weekdays.

Residential guests, pre-arranged commuter meal packages, and individual meals at the door each carry a different rate. For details, please see our outline of 2018 rates.

Catering Services

Catering Services is in full operation over the summer season! Whether you would like a refreshment break, continental breakfast, or plated dinner, Catering Services is eager to help suit your needs. Prices will vary based on packaging, but for meals will replace the typical charge for the Diner. Once you have submitted your Overnight Program Inquiry, the Conferences Manager will refer you to the Catering Personnel that can begin to plan your event!

To get an idea of what is typically available, please see the Catering Services Menu.

Diversions Café

For delicious coffee, teas, pastries, and more, your guests are encouraged to stop by Diversions Café (conveniently located in Wheelock Student Center)! Open most weekdays over the summer, this café is primarily staffed by Puget Sound students and proudly serves coffee from Stumptown Coffee Roasters. This excellent Pacific Northwest-based company emphasizes direct trade coffee and close relationships with the communities that cultivate for them. With indoor and outdoor seating, guests can stay for a quick 15-minute break sipping on a latte, an entire afternoon with their laptop catching up on emails, or anywhere in-between.
