Popular Music Ensemble
Experience a debut performance by the Popular Music Ensemble, featuring Puget Sound songwriting majors performing "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame," including songs from 2021 Hall of Fame inductees Carly Simon, Carole King, Duran Duran, the Foo Fighters, the Eurythmics, Lionel Ritchie, and more; directed by Rob Hutchinson and Dawn Padula.
The Popular Music Ensemble is part of the School of Music's new Songwriting degree program, the first of its kind being offered at a liberal arts university.
Jacobsen Series: Puget Sound Piano Trio
Enjoy a performance by the Puget Sound Piano Trio, the School of Music ensemble-in-residence featuring Maria Sampen, violin; Alistair MacRae, cello; and Ronaldo Rolim, piano. For this concert, they will be joined by guest artists Timothy Christie, viola and Svend Rønning, violin, performing works by Oriz, Fernandez, and Price.
Jacobsen Series: Puget Sound Piano Trio
Enjoy a concert featuring the Puget Sound Piano Trio, the School of Music's ensemble-in-residence with Maria Sampen, violin, Alistair MacRae, cello; and Ronaldo Rolim, piano; performing works by Franz Schubert, Rebecca Clarke, and Johannes Brahms. The Trio will be joined by special guest artist Randolph Kelly, viola.
Jacobsen Series: Covert Ensemble Saxophone Duo
Join us for the Covert Ensemble saxophone duo, featuring guest artists Dave Camwell and Kateřina Pavlíková performing unique arrangements of popular classical music from J.S. Bach to contemporary composers such as Max Richter; blurring the lines between classical, rock, and pop worlds.
All are invited to a reception following the program hosted by the SAI international music organization.

Blues Vespers is back in Kilworth for its 25th season! Blues music, poetry, and a little something to think about in a spiritual celebration of music and the arts. Music performed by Kim Archer and Brian Feist with an opening act by Puget Sound alum Forest Beutel.
Mini Maestros: Wacky, Wild World of Percussion
The Community Music Department partners with Symphony Tacoma to present the Mini Maestros music concert series for young children, ages 2-8 years old, and their families. Each concert highlights a different 'family' of instruments in the orchestra using a curriculum prepared by Early childhood Learning experts and introduced by educator and emcee, Shay Ryan. Prior to the concert, there is an instrument petting zoo, which gives children an opportunity to explore the instruments up close.

The Community Music Department partners with Symphony Tacoma to present the Mini Maestros music concert series for young children and their families. Prior to the concert there is an instrument petting zoo to give children the opportunity to explore and experience the musical instruments up close.
