Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting music education. Musical

provide valuable resources for music students at Puget Sound.

Community Music Suzuki Piano Recital - Students of Jacqueline Block

Classical piano music in the Suzuki method repertoire will be performed by young children and teens who study with Jacqueline Block in the University's Community Music program.  From playing their very first notes to honing musical skills throughout years of practice and training, we invite audience members to witness each student's individual musical journey and cheer them on!       

Admission is free. No tickets required. 

Terri Lyne Carrington Lecture/Master Class

Celebrating 40 years in music, NEA Jazz Master and four-time GRAMMY® award-winning drummer, producer and educator, Terri Lyne Carrington started her professional career in Massachusetts at 10 years old when she became the youngest person to receive a union card in Boston. She was featured as a “kid wonder” in many publications and on local and national TV shows.

Susan Chan Piano Master Class

Join us for a piano master class hosted by guest artist Susan Chan as part of the School of Music Keyboard Series. Throughout her multifaceted career that includes performance on four continents, a highly acclaimed discography, teaching, directing, and outreach, Chan illuminates how heritage informs identity. 

  

Jackson Jay and Mozea Havens Joint Violin Recital

Join us for a joint violin recital featuring Jackson Jay '26 and Mozea Havens '27, with Isabella Jie, piano. The program will include works by Tyzen Hsiao, Fritz Kreisler, Claude Debussy, Coleridge-Taylor Perkison, Antonio Vivaldi, and Dueling Fiddlers. Jackson is a student of Maria Sampen's majoring in music education, and Mozea, also a student of Maria Sampen's, is majoring in violin performance.
