World Music Concert: TRIO GUADALEVIN

Since 2014, Trio Guadalevin has literally traversed the parts of the world which taken their unique sound to stages all across America, both entertaining and educating their audiences to the musical connections ranging from the Mediterranean to Mexico, employing a wealth of instruments and techniques which reimagine the musical dialogue between indigenous, European and African cultures.

Harm Reduction Presentation

This hour-long session will prepare participants to recognize and respond to emergencies such as alcohol poisoning, opioid overdose/fentanyl poisoning. This This educational workshop is recommended for all people who use substances such as alcohol and other drugs, as well as those who may present when others are using. Training on how and when to administer Naloxone (Narcan) will be included.

Talk Saves Lives

A community-based presentation that covers the general scope of suicide, the research on prevention, and what people can do to fight suicide. Participants will learn common risk factors and warning signs associated with suicide and how to keep themselves and others safe.

Rona Yellowrobe, Native American Heritage Month concert/lecture

Singer/songwriter and 2014 and 2016 Native American Music Award winning Flute Player of the Year, accompanied by guitarist Bruce Witham, they’ve recorded four award-winning albums and have performed on stages nationwide and abroad. They have always said, "We will perform for 5 or 1,500", and have done both. For Rona and Bruce, it’s all about blessing people’s lives with the music...created with the intention to inspire, uplift, and fill the listener with peace, hope, and happiness, leading to visions of joy, love, and prosperity.

Lecture: Funmilola Fagbamila "Freedom Dreams, A Formula for Justice"

Funmilola Fagbamila is a Nigerian-American playwright, performance artist and professor. Her internationally touring stage play “The Intersection” has been met with critical acclaim by thinkers and artists such as Angela Davis and Erykah Badu. As an international public speaker, Funmilola has delivered keynote addresses, lectures and performances at universities across the U.S. and Europe. Some of the venues include UCLA School of Law, Oxford University, Dartmouth, Stanford and Harvard.
