Singer/songwriter and 2014 and 2016 Native American Music Award winning Flute Player of the Year, accompanied by guitarist Bruce Witham, they've recorded four award-winning albums and have performed on stages nationwide and abroad. For Rona and Bruce, it's all about blessing people's lives with the music...created with the intention to inspire, uplift, and fill the listener with peace, hope, and happiness, leading to visions of joy, love, and prosperity.
Blues Vespers at Kilworth Chapel continues a 25-year Tacoma tradition blending live blues, poetry, and a little something to think about. Hosted by the University Chaplaincy, Blues Vespers is a great space for campus and community to gather and celebrate the ways that music and art feed our lives.

A vigil hosted by the OIED and the Chaplaincy honoring and remembering the lives lost due to anti-trans violence in the year 2023.
Each of the three panelists is asked to speak for 20 minutes from their area of expertise regarding some issue (or constellation of issues) regarding Taiwan, followed by 20 minutes of discussion and Q&A with the audience.

Taiwan is an island country. Although it is surrounded by the sea, its people fear the sea since the politics, the history and the religious beliefs held on this island make people turn their backs to the sea. Oceanic literature author Liao Hung-chi and underwater photographer Ray Chin lead the audience out to the sea and into the water. They prompt us to understand the sea and to think about the possibility that the ocean might become our lives and the future of our country.
