University of Puget Sound Receives $1,050,000 Gift to Establish Endowed Fund for Crew Sustainability
The University of Puget Sound has received a $1,050,000 gift from Richard N. Laurance ’74 to establish the Puget Sound Endowed Fund for the university’s crew program. The endowment will provide unrestricted support for the Loggers, helping sustain the school’s 60-plus-year tradition of competitive rowing.
Three University of Puget Sound Students Awarded Prestigious Gilman International Scholarships
Three University of Puget Sound students, Julio Deloya-Garcia ’27 of San Jose, California; Hayes Freeman ’26 of Crested Butte, Colorado; and Isabeau Fuller ’27 of St. Peter, Minnesota, have been awarded Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships by the U.S. Department of State for study abroad trips through Spring 2026.
