Spring Family Weekend 2022 | April 8-10
 

This student-planned weekend includes the signature Lu’au performance. We will share more details as they become available. The Parents & Families Council also will hold its Spring meeting and a reception for all parents. 

Friday, April 8
  • Alum Author Visit - Cynthia Nims
    1 p.m.
    Logger Store
    Puget Sound alum Cynthia Nims is a best-selling food author who’s written cookbooks based on celebrated iconic foods such as oysters, crabs and wild mushrooms. She includes our Logger Bookstore on her current book tour supporting her latest release, “Shellfish” (PenguinRandomHouse). As part of ASUPS Spring Family Weekend, she’ll be available for a book-signing. Welcome back, Cynthia!

  • Annual Ka Ohana Me Ke Aloha Lu'au Performance

    Tickets can be ordered here.
    -A Hawaiian-inspired dinner will be served in the diner at the Wheelock Student Center at 5PM, and will be paid for ala carte. Then, audience members are encouraged to head over to the Fieldhouse for the performance.
    -There will be a country store filled with all sorts of goodies from Hawai'i! This store will be held in the Wheelock Student Center from 11am-1pm. Then, the store will continue to hold sales in the fieldhouse before the shower and throughout the store. There will be spam musubi, Hawai'i lunch bags, Hawai'i candies, nuts, and cookies, and much much more!

  • Throughout the weekend, the School of Music Opera Theater will present The Pirates of Penzance in Schneebeck Concert Hall. Four performances are being offered from Thursday, April 7 through Sunday, April 10. Tickets are available online or at the door. More info can be found here.

Please note that current campus COVID-19 policy and guidelines state that all guests to campus must be fully vaccinated. Guests must register for the event they are attending. Masks also must be worn when not eating or drinking. Any change to this policy will be communicated via email with all attendees.
