Located in the garden level of Wheelock Student Center, The Cellar is Puget Sound’s student-run pizza joint. Since 1976, The Cellar has been serving pizzas, sandwiches, bruschetta, ice cream, and more to satisfy hungry Loggers.

Staff Senate Campus Coffee Break and Plant Market

We hope you will join us for a Campus Coffee Break, hosted by Staff Senate. All students, faculty, and staff are invited to gather Wednesday, March 26, 10 - 10:30 a.m. in the Wheelock Student Center Rasmussen Rotunda

This coffee break coincides with the annual Staff Senate Plant Market!

Grab a hot drink and browse for a new plant friend to take home with you! Prices are low and all proceeds benefit the Rosa Beth Gibson Scholarship, which supports staff pursuing educational opportunities.

Songs of Little Saigon film screening

Songs of Little Saigon is a feature documentary film about Vietnamese Americans whose musical talent, hope, and resilience propelled the rebuilding of their lives in Southern California after fleeing a war-torn Vietnam. In 2020-2021 this film was recognized and awarded in 13 film festivals nationally and internationally. Commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Fall of Saigon by joining with others to watch this film and stay afterward for a discussion with community members Tuyet Nguyen, Minh Anh Hodge, Duy Nguyen, and host/creator/producer, Dr. Tina Huynh. (Film is 96 minutes).

Naloxone Administration Training

Join the CHWS Outreach and Prevention staff for a brief overview of opioid trends in the Northwest. Learn how and when to administer naloxone and how to use fentanyl test strips. Naloxone and test strips will be available at the event.

Puget Sound Women's League Fieldhouse Flea Market

The University of Puget Sound Women’s League Fieldhouse Flea Market is happening Saturday, March 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Memorial Fieldhouse. Held since 1968, we are Tacoma’s original vintage and creative market. The $5 entry for 5 years and above goes towards our goal to raise funds for student scholarships. This year the Women’s League celebrates 125 years of service to the University and Puget Sound students.

Loggers CARE: Suicide Prevention Education

Join a member of the campus Suicide Prevention Task Force for the suicide prevention presentation, "Loggers CARE." Loggers CARE is a suicide prevention framework that helps conceptualize how to recognize and respond to someone in crisis or at risk of suicide, and care for yourself after assisting them. This training is open to all campus members.
