Lunch Concert: "Solo Excursions, featuring multi-instrumentalist BOB ANTOLIN

In recognition of Filipino American Heritage Month, jazz and world music musician BOB ANTOLIN brings his array of wind and stringed instruments for a midday jazz session. Antolin is an accomplished musical artist whose performing credits with Global Heat and other ensembles makes him one of Seattle's most visible (and outstanding) musicians.  Presented by Northwest Sounds/ASUPS Student Programs.

Devotion for Baha'i Holy Days

People of any, all, or no particular faith background to gather to celebrate the Baha’i Holy Days at an open devotion hosted by the University Chaplaincy.  Share a writing, poem, or song from any background, or just observe and enjoy this welcoming and contemplative space.

Death Cafe: A Conversation about Death

Interfaith Celebration of Gratitude

All are welcome to this gathering of different faiths hosted by the University Chaplaincy along with the Baha'i Community of Tacoma, in partnership with event sponsor Associated Ministries (www.associatedministries.org). This multifaith celebration includes readings, reflections, and sharing about gratitude from several Tacoma faith communities, including remarks by Puget Sound Chaplain Dave Wright and an Interfaith Choir conducted by our Jewish Life Coordinator, Cantor Geoff Fine.

Biophysics Minor Information Session

Come meet other potential Biophysics minors, learn about what Biophysics as a field is, and also what is required for the minor. We'll also watch a short Biophysics-themed video. Refreshments will be provided.

Residency: Reentry Theatre of Harlem

Re-Entry Theatre of Harlem (RTH) is an independent nonprofit based in NY, developed by and for people who have lived experiences in the US criminal legal system.  The University will host Alex Anderson, founder of RTH and Rory Anderson, Assistant Art Director for one month during which they will visit students in their classrooms across Theatre Arts, Crime, Law and Justice studies and forge connections with local organizations working on arts and social justice.

Cannabis, Alcohol & Impacts on Health, Athletic Performance & Mental Health

Join CHWS and Dr. Jason Kilmer for a presentation about the effects of alcohol and cannabis on academics, mental health, and athletic performance. This talk is presented as part of substance misuse prevention month programming and is supported by the Division of Student Affairs. All students who attend will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for prizes such as a Bluetooth speaker, a digital camera, Lego kit, or noise-cancelling head phones.
