Tribal Cultural Sharing Event

The Tribal Cultural Sharing Event seeks to showcase Native American tradition through song, dance, history, storytelling, and other educational programming. This space is being made in the hopes that campus members can learn a little bit more about the people who first stewarded this land.

The people we date, the news we see, the influence of our votes, the candidates who win elections, the education we have access to, the jobs we get — all of it is underwritten by an invisible layer of math that few of us understand or even notice.

But whether we know it or not, our numeric literacy — whether we can speak the language of math — is a critical determinant of social and economic power.

The Office of Institutional Equity & Diversity hopes you will not only join us for our 39th Annual MLK Jr. Celebration on January 23, but that you will also join us the next morning to continue the conversations over a cup of coffee!
