Join us for the Popular Music Ensemble presenting, "Band on the Run," directed by Rob Hutchinson and Dawn Padula. The program includes music by Led Zeppelin; Earth, Wind & Fire; No Doubt; Van Halen; Radiohead, and more, performed by Puget Sound songwriting majors.

The Popular Music Ensemble is part of the School of Music's Songwriting degree program launched in fall 2023, the first of its kind offered at a liberal arts university. 

Join us for the Popular Music Ensemble featuring Puget Sound songwriting majors, directed by Rob Hutchinson and Dawn Padula. The program will include hit songs from the movies including The Breakfast Club, Barbie, Purple Rain, A Star is Born, Saturday Night Fever, and more. Admission is free.

The School of Music is pleased to welcome guest artist Joseph Murphy for a saxophone masterclass. Murphy was the saxophone professor at Mansfield University, Pa., from 1987-2022 and was director of bands and department chair.
