Tabla Concert: Abhiman Kaushal

Abhiman's Kaushal's credits span the globe, especially providing the rhythms for Ravi Shankar's world tours in the '90's, and in soundtracks for Philip Glass, National Geographic, and many Hollywood films, including Zoolander. As an educator, he maintains professorships at Herb Alpert's UCLA School of Music, UC Riverside, and the National Taiwan University.  He will be accompanied on Harmonium and vocals by Deepashri Joglekar, an educator whose students range in all ages through the northwest and as far away as Canada and India. THIS EVENT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR 2/1! WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THEN!

Blues Vespers @ Kilworth Chapel kicks off its 2026 season with a harmonica showcase. Coordinated by guitarist Tim Sherman, with Mark Dalton on bass and Conrad Ormsby on drums, the Showcase will feature harmonica performances by Stacy Jones, Joe Cook, and Jonathan Pittman.

Blues Vespers is a monthly campus/community event that combines blues artists with poetry and a little something to think about.  

Popular Music Ensemble

Join us for the Popular Music Ensemble directed by Rob Hutchinson and Dawn Padula. The Popular Music Ensemble is part of the School of Music's Songwriting degree program launched in fall 2023, the first of its kind offered at a liberal arts university.

Last Night of Classes ASUPS Special Event aka Grizz’s Winter Bash and Mistletoast

The annual end of semester event features horse-drawn carriage rides, cakes celebrating birthdays, pizzas donated by Farelli’s, tarot readings and a new addition of a community mural painting led by JOANNE TAWFILIS, PH.D, muralist and cofounder of the ART MILES MURAL PROJECT, which she stated over 25 years ago while in Bosnia heading a United Nations project to help lift widows out of their trauma with projects of economic independence.

Jazz at Noon: "The Saxtoons"

Sheryl Clark on sax, Jim Cochran on piano, and Rick White on bass are in-demand musicians who comprise Saxtoons, performing a midday Maroon Friday concert of standards and holiday music. Presented by ASUPS Student Programs/NW Sounds. Free.
