The University of Puget Sound’s Master of Public Health program has earned accreditation from the Council on Education for Public Health, a distinction that applies retroactively to the program’s first cohort.

The American Occupational Therapy Foundation has named University of Puget Sound Prof. Renee Watling as the recipient of the 2026 Virginia Scardina Award of Excellence. The award recognizes clinicians who advance theory in brain-behavior relationships. 

Representing the University of Puget Sound on a global stage, 11 Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students and six faculty members recently traveled to Anaheim, California, in February, for the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Combined Sections Meeting (CSM).

“It’s a very awesome resource that I feel like a lot of people don’t take advantage of,” said Lucas Willers, whose daughter, Isla, is a pediatric client.

The University of Puget Sound is proud to announce the launch of its new Hybrid Master of Education (MEd) Counseling Program, strategically designed to fill a widening gap in regional clinical mental health and school counseling education and provide aspiring counseling professionals with the flexibility and accessibility to advance their careers while balancing work and personal commitments.

Inside the University of Puget Sound’s Ann Wilson On-site Teaching Clinic, patients work side by side with doctoral students who are learning to master their knowledge and skills of the profession while offering care to the community. Here, movement is restored step by step — through careful manipulation on mat treatment tables and with the help of parallel bars and exercise machines. For many patients, the clinic is more than a teaching space; it is a lifeline.
