The University of Puget Sound will host a year-long series of entrepreneurship events during the 2026–27 academic year. The programming is designed to appeal to students across disciplines, not just business majors, and includes both for-profit and nonprofit ventures.
Mallory Fitzpatrick’s work examines a spooky crossroads: supernatural horror and ancient literature. She was drawn to Greek myths as a child, later studying them in their original languages. “It blew the door wide open to ancient literature, history, and storytelling,” she says.
Archie Kerr ’27 is a rising senior and the incoming president of the Associated Students of the University of Puget Sound (ASUPS). Originally from Bend, Oregon, Kerr previously served as vice president and as director of clubs and student interests. When Jake Elorduy ’26 arrived at the University of Puget Sound, football was his entry point. A lifelong athlete, he expected a run-of-the-mill college experience, centered on his experience on the field. What he found went far beyond the game.
“It’s hard to get a full grasp of what campus looks like if you’re not physically there,” Elorduy said. He grew up in Sacramento, California, and hadn’t traveled to the Pacific Northwest before touring Puget Sound. “Once I saw the community, that really drew my attention.”
