Brown & Haley Lecture Series: "The Gentrification of Transition into Art and Theory, 1980-1990s" with Jules Gill-Peterson

Originating in 1953, the Brown & Haley Lecture Series became the first fully endowed lectureship in the history of Puget Sound in 1981. The lectures are intended to make significant contributions to the understanding of urgent problems confronting society, emphasizing perspectives in the social sciences or humanities. In recent years, the Brown & Haley Lecture Series has invited an emerging scholar to offer two lectures speaking to two or more fields during their two-day residency.

Mini Maestros: Brass Ahoy!

Mini Maestros is a  music concert series designed especially for children ages 2-8 and their families.

The University of Puget Sound Community Music Department partners with Symphony Tacoma to present this interactive classical music event which includes lots of learning, lots of music, and even an instrument petting zoo. Each concert in the series highlights a different family of instruments.

Women's League February Meeting

The Women’s League brings together Puget Sound alumnae, parents, neighbors, and community members who share a commitment to supporting students. Since 1982, the League has raised scholarship funds—now with an endowment of nearly $1.4 million—providing over $53,000 in awards to 14 students in 2023–24 alone. 

Members meet monthly on campus for lunch or evening programs that feature university speakers, student music performances, and opportunities to connect with others. Meetings also include community service projects, such as collecting food for the student pantry.

Reception for Art Show - 2026 Art Students Annual

See the best work from art classes in the last year at the opening night party and awards ceremony (with prizes). The Art Students Annual show is a Puget Sound tradition. Students enter work from art classes, and a juror selects artwork for the show, which will be in Kittredge Gallery for four weeks.
