DataFest 2026 - Judging

University of Puget Sound will be hosting DataFest during the weekend of March 27-29, 2026! It is a team based, friendly competition that takes place over a weekend of hanging out with friends and analyzing a secret dataset to win prizes and do Data For Good!

It is open to teams of 2-5 students from any area of study. We also seek volunteers from the community and/or alumni to serve as mentors and judges.

Ethics Bowl: Short Film & Student Panel

See The Bowl (2025), a 40-minute short film documenting a team’s journey in preparing for the National High School Ethics Bowl. Then, hear from students on the Puget Sound ethics bowl team about their experience at the Regionals.

Dinner with Strangers

Campus

Dinner with Strangers provides a Logger-friendly environment where students can interact with Puget Sound alumni, faculty, and staff over a free catered meal while listening to Puget Sound alum Keith Blocker '12 shares keynote remarks.

Following the meal, we'll lead a speed-networking activity to help students practice their networking skills and meet the other table hosts — the alumni, faculty, and staff who are there to support their career journey.

Join Maroon Society and the Tacoma Regional Alumni Club on Tuesday, March 3 for a special networking event at Tacoma Pie on 6th Ave in celebration of Logger Day Challenge!

Stop by anytime between 5:30–7:30 p.m. to connect with fellow students and alumni, grow your network, and celebrate a day of Logger pride and philanthropy. Best of all—FREE pizza will be provided!

Maroon Society February General Meeting

Join us for the February Maroon Society General Meeting on Thursday, February 26! Our meetings are open to everyone, and new members are always welcome. It’s a great opportunity to connect with others and hear about exciting upcoming campus events.

This month, we’ll be creating aesthetic vision boards—visualizing our dreams, goals, and manifestations for the rest of 2026. We’ll provide all the materials, plus snacks and music. Just bring yourself (and a friend!).
