Dear Members of the Campus Community,

As we continue to work to bring the pandemic to an end, colleges across the country are making important decisions about vaccination requirements for members of their campus communities.

In concert with guidance from state and federal public health officials and recommendations from Counseling, Health and Wellness Services, University of Puget Sound will expand our student immunization requirements to include COVID-19 effective with the beginning of the fall 2021 semester.

All undergraduate and graduate students will need to provide evidence of being fully vaccinated prior to the beginning of the fall semester, with limited exceptions granted for medical or religious reasons.  Students who have an approved exception may still be required to be tested or adhere to additional social distancing, masking, or other requirements to safely participate in campus activities.

We continue to strongly encourage all faculty and staff members to get vaccinated and are monitoring evolving federal and state guidelines for employer regulations regarding the vaccination of employees.

More information about testing and other protocols for summer and fall is forthcoming. Meanwhile, thank you for everything you are doing to keep yourselves and others healthy. Vaccination is one of the best tools we have right now for returning to our full campus experience as quickly and safely as possible.

Sincerely,

Isiaah
