Alumni, Arches

When I walk across campus, I am often reminded of the generations of Loggers who have shaped this remarkable university from its earliest days to the present. Some of their stories are preserved in the names of our buildings and gathering spaces, others in the pages of Tamanawas and The Trail, while countless others live on through the relationships they forged, the lives they touched, and the example they set. Each generation has strengthened the foundation upon which the next would build, affirming that leadership is not simply a position — it is a responsibility. To be a Logger is to embrace that responsibility and to use one’s talents in service of something greater than oneself.

President Isiaah Crawford, August 2026.

As we publicly launch the Greater, We Ascend campaign, I am filled with confidence in Puget Sound’s future because of the extraordinary commitment of Loggers across generations. Alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents, and friends have invested their time, talents, and resources because they believed deeply in the enduring value of a Puget Sound education.

We are the beneficiaries of their vision, generosity, and unwavering faith in this institution. Their legacy is a thriving liberal arts university that prepares students not only to pursue their passions, but also to discover lives of purpose, lead with integrity, and make meaningful and lasting contributions to their professions, their communities, and the world. As we look ahead, the question before us is both simple and profound: What legacy will we choose to leave for the generations of Loggers yet to come?
