Dear Members of the Campus Community,

This past weekend’s celebration of holy days in both the Jewish and Christian faith traditions were marred by the horror of suicide bombings in Sri Lanka. We now understand that hundreds of people from at least eight countries lost their lives yesterday in what is being reported as the deadliest attack on Christians in South Asia. In conjunction with grief over the arsons of black churches in Louisiana and the fire at Notre-Dame, this is a time of deep sorrow for Christians throughout the world.

An Easter service held in Kilworth Chapel yesterday offered prayers for victims and their families, and an opportunity for our community to come together in this time of loss. We will also hold a vigil for the victims of Sri Lanka on Wednesday, April 24, 12:15 p.m. – 1 p.m. in the Wheelock Student Center Rotunda.

Meanwhile, please avail yourselves of campus resources available to you for comfort and support in times of crisis.
