Director of Institutional Research and Retention
Ellen oversees the Office of Institutional Research. She works with faculty, staff, senior university leadership, and board of trustee members to incorporate data into decisions, and conducts research in response to institutional questions. Ellen provides leadership on assessment and is the accreditation liaison officer. Ellen collaborates across campus to provide recommendations and solutions that will ultimately achieve the strategic goals and objectives outlined in the university’s Strategic Plan. In addition to her service on several local boards, she is the Past President of the Association for Institutional Research. In her spare time, Ellen is a thespian, and loves film, cooking, and reading.

Assistant Director for Reporting and Analysis
Emily responds to all external data requests, including federally-mandated reporting, state reporting, and reporting to consortia. She also completes college guidebook requests. Emily manages our Strategic Indicators and contributes to Sound Reports. She handles faculty and staff reporting as well. Finally, Emily is responsible for Qualtrics, our survey software, for which she provides training. In her free time, Emily loves baking, photography, stand-up paddle boarding, and traveling.

Assistant Director for Assessment
Alanna supports the assessment of curricular and co-curricular student experience and outcomes. This involves interaction across campus as Alanna develops surveys and focus groups to gather information about the student experience. Alanna is the liaison for academic department periodic reviews, preparing data packets that are customized based on departmental needs as they approach their review with the curriculum committee. In her free time, Alanna enjoys reading, knitting, trying new recipes, and exploring the Pacific Northwest.

Systems Analyst and Research Associate
Will has a primary responsibility for internal data management and analytical reporting, including conducting, organizing, and maintaining student data files, cleaning and analyzing student surveys, and working collaboratively across campus to clarify data definitions and develop the data dictionary. He also assembles databases for the purpose of developing predictive models of student enrollment and retention. He has primary responsibility for Sound Reports. In his free time, Will enjoys photography, painting, playing bass, and satisfying his addiction to mountain summits.
