Recognizing that university staff are an integral part of the campus community, the purpose of Staff Senate shall be to represent the staff at large in university governance; to promote an engaged staff experience through facilitating communication and camaraderie both among staff members and the wider campus community; and to advise university leadership, including, but not limited to, the President, the President’s Cabinet, the Board of Trustees, and other appropriate bodies, on staff issues. The Staff Senate is committed to maintaining a diverse, inclusive, and equitable representation of staff.
