Ethan Chythlook Senior Violin Recital

Join us for a student recital featuring Ethan Chythlook '26, violin, with Isabella Jie, piano, and guest performers Keola Tabisola '25, viola; Jasper Hitchman '27, piano; Paige Franklin '26, violin; and Grant Chythlook '29 cello. The program will include works by Florence Price, Wynton Marsalis, Rebecca Clarke, Luis Muñoz, Amy Beach, and William Grant Still. Ethan, a student of Maria Sampen, is pursuing a bachelor's degree in violin performance.

Madison Hening Senior Violin Recital

Join us for a senior recital featuring Madison Hening '26, violin, with Jinshil Yi '14, piano. The program will include works by Amy Beach, Jean Sibelius, César Franck, and Carlos Gardel. 

Madison is a student of Maria Sampen pursuing a bachelor's degree in violin performance.

Join us for a student recital featuring Jack Kuntz '26, piano. Jack is a student of Ronaldo Rolim pursuing a bachelor's degree in performance. The program will include works by Beethoven, Bartók, Coleridge-Taylor, and Liszt.

Liam Abbott Senior Cello Recital

Join us for a student recital featuring Liam Abbott '26, cello, with Isabella Jie, piano. Liam is a student of Alistair MacRae pursuing a bachelor's degree in cello performance. The program will include works by Bach, Hailstork, Debussy, and Shostakovich.

 

Alex Kirner senior bassoon recital

Join us for a student recital featuring Alex Kirner '26, bassoon, with Kim Davenport, piano. Alex is a student of Brittany Harrington pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science and math. The program will include music by Ravel, Saint-Saëns, Mignone, Villa-Lobos, and more; with guest bassoonists Olivia Schmick '26, Sara Ponsioen '26, and Suza Haskins '29.

 

The Art of a Career

The Department of Theatre Arts and School of Music invite you to join the instrumental guest artists in the spring musical Fun Home band for a panel discussion, Q & A, and open rehearsal. Guests Mason Hargrove (guitarist), Dean Schmidt (bassist), and James Doyle (percussionist) will talk about their professional career journeys and offer insights about making a life as an artist. The panel discussion, "The Art of a Career," is at 5 p.m. with an open rehearsal following at 6 p.m. with the full band.
