By popular demand, a redux performance by twice-Grammy nominated trumpeter Nathan Breedlove. A former leader of the pioneering ska band of the 90's, "The Skatalites", Breedlove has crossed over many musical genres and has shared the stage with names you know - Hampton, Marsalis, McBride, and Cohen. Free, open to the public, and sponsored by ASUPS Student Programs/NW Sounds.

In this presentation, Professor Andrew Gardner describes an astonishing new preliminary interview conducted with a transnational migrant residing in the vicinity of Tacoma. What might we grasp from this singular data point? Let's have a group discussion about the issues and concerns that might inform subsequent interviews to be conducted for this project.

Join us for a free public concert featuring solo vocal music performed by students of Kathryn Lehmann from the University's Community Music program and pianist, Jieun Yun.  You will hear a variety of show tunes, classical music, and other solo selections.

Since 2014, Trio Guadalevin has literally traversed the parts of the world which taken their unique sound to stages all across America, both entertaining and educating their audiences to the musical connections ranging from the Mediterranean to Mexico, employing a wealth of instruments and techniques which reimagine the musical dialogue between indigenous, European and African cultures.

On February 29, 2024 the University of Puget Sound will be participating in the first Fresh Check Day on our campus! Fresh Check Day is an uplifting mental health promotion and suicide prevention event  that includes interactive expo booths, peer-to-peer messaging, support of multiple campus departments and groups, free food, entertainment, and exciting prizes and giveaways.

Come celebrate the last day of classes and say hi to your favorite furry friends! Our monthly event features dogs from Therapy Dogs International. We will also be giving away FREE hot chocolate. Join us for as long or as little as you can! You can look forward to seeing Henry, Cody, Cooper. Mack, Foxy, and more!

Singer/songwriter and 2014 and 2016 Native American Music Award winning Flute Player of the Year, accompanied by guitarist Bruce Witham, they've recorded four award-winning albums and have performed on stages nationwide and abroad. Blues Vespers at Kilworth Chapel continues a 25-year Tacoma tradition blending live blues, poetry, and a little something to think about.   Hosted by the University Chaplaincy, Blues Vespers is a great space for campus and community to gather and celebrate the ways that music and art feed our lives.
