An all-university ensemble for brass, woodwind, and percussion. Performs on campus each semester.
MUS 286 | Popular Music Ensemble
This course provides students the opportunity to explore and learn about a variety of popular music genres and styles through performance in a cover band. Students will rehearse and perform songs (covers) with the ensemble taking on various roles. The ensemble will present at least one formalized concert each semester.
MUS 284 | Puget Sound Jazz Orchestra
Prepares and performs music of many jazz styles for both large bands and small combos. The jazz band plays concerts throughout the year, both on and off campus.
MUS 280 | Dorian Singers
An auditioned ensemble of women singing both accompanied and a capella literature and appearing in concert several times each semester.
MUS 278 | Voci d'Amici
Selected by audition from the Adelphian Concert Choir. Small non-conducted vocal ensemble that focuses on vocal jazz, pop, and a cappella music. Cross-listed as MUS 178/278/378.
MUS 276 | Puget Sound Singers
Mixed-voice choir whose membership varies from experienced choral singers to beginning singers. Also open to the community members. Local performances are scheduled each semester.
MUS 274 | Symphony Orchestra
Preparation and performance of works for symphony orchestra. Makes public appearances throughout the year. Tours in the Pacific Northwest.
MUS 272 | Adelphian Concert Choir
Prepares and performs varied repertoire for mixed voices. Makes public appearances throughout the year and tours in the Pacific Northwest.
MUS 270 | Wind Ensemble
Prepares and performs music of many styles. Makes public appearances throughout the year and tours in the Pacific Northwest.
MUS 256 | Collaborative Piano Skills II - Vocal
This course will explore the techniques and different practices pianists need in order to collaborate with singers, in a solo or choral capacity. This course is required for Piano Performance majors in their junior year who have successfully completed MUS 255. The course is encouraged for other piano students interested in developing their collaboration skills, as long as the same prerequisite is met.
