Homecoming & Family Weekend is October 10–12, 2025
Each fall, the University of Puget Sound welcomes families, alumni, and friends back to campus for a weekend of connection, celebration, and community. Homecoming & Family Weekend offers Loggers across the generations the opportunity to experience campus life together while honoring the traditions and people that make Puget Sound what it is.
With events ranging from open classes and campus tours to athletic events, faculty talks, and a new campus showcase called LoggerFest, the weekend is designed to engage visitors of all ages and interests. Whether you're an alum returning for a reunion, a parent visiting your student, or a friend of the university, Homecoming & Family Weekend is a time to reconnect with people, with place, and with Puget Sound itself.
A Closer Look at the Weekend
LoggerFest, new this year, brings together academic departments, student organizations, and campus offices in a central location. It’s a chance for attendees to meet faculty and staff, learn about current student projects, and explore opportunities that define the Puget Sound experience today.
For those interested in the academic side of campus life, select classes will be open to visitors, and guided and self-guided tours will offer insight into academic spaces, residence halls, and even the trees around campus. It’s a chance for families and alumni to step into students’ daily lives and see how the university continues to evolve.
Athletics are also a central part of the weekend. Highlights include the Logger Football game vs. Pacific Lutheran University and pre-game barbecue, alumni athletic events like the Don Duncan Alumni Swim Meet, and the Logger Athletics Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony, recognizing outstanding contributors to Puget Sound’s athletic legacy.
The weekend will also feature a public lecture led by Professor of Philosophy Ariela Tubert exploring memory, imagination, and artificial intelligence—one of several events showcasing the university’s academic depth and commitment to critical inquiry. On Saturday evening, Grammy-nominated jazz vocalist Nnenna Freelon will perform with the Puget Sound Jazz Orchestra in Schneebeck Concert Hall, presented by ASUPS Performing Arts and the School of Music.
To wrap up the weekend, attendees can take part in the 15th Annual Logger 5K. This event invites the entire campus and community to participate by running or walking to celebrate school spirit and reconnect with others.
Welcoming You Back
