Dear Members of the Campus Community,
As we begin the 2026-2027 academic year, it is important to remind all University of Puget Sound students, faculty, and staff of our commitment to maintaining a living, learning, and working environment free from discrimination and harassment. Fostering a safe and respectful community is a responsibility that we all share. With this in mind, I’m writing to share important information about our protections against discrimination and harassment, including sexual misconduct, and the resources available to support prevention, reporting, and investigation efforts.
In line with our Statement on Equal Opportunity and Nondiscrimination, the university prohibits discrimination and harassment based on sex, race, color, national origin, religion, creed, age, disability, marital or familial status, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, military status, political affiliation, and other protected characteristics, as required by federal and state law.
We have established two key policies and associated procedures to support our prevention, reporting, and investigation efforts:
- Policy Prohibiting Discrimination and Harassment
- Policy Prohibiting Sex-Based Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, and Sexual Misconduct
If you believe you or someone else has experienced any form of prohibited conduct, we encourage you to report it promptly.
