Dear Campus Community,

After a highly competitive national search, University of Puget Sound will welcome Lindsay Nyquist as associate vice president for marketing and communications. Lindsay currently serves as director of marketing and communications at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo., a role she was promoted into in 2018. Her first day on campus will be in May 2023.

Among her accomplishments at Fort Lewis College, Lindsay completed a brand rearticulation project, bringing enhanced cohesion and consistency to the Fort Lewis College brand. Additionally, she launched a website redesign, implemented virtual tours, and co-produced an episode of The College Tour on Amazon Prime about Fort Lewis College. Lindsay has held progressively senior roles with the college since 2008.

Lindsay earned a bachelor of arts degree in English and communication from the University of Delaware, and a master’s degree in higher education from Drexel University. She serves on the CASE Commission on Communication and Marketing, and the CASE/AGB/ACE Value of Higher Education national committee, among other volunteer service.

We’re excited to have Lindsay lead the Office of Marketing and Communications, formerly the Office of Communications, in implementing a communications strategy that elevates awareness of the university brand, guides the university in marketing itself through increased integration with enrollment and advancement efforts, and tells the story of the institution in thoughtful, dynamic, and compelling ways.
