Hello Faculty and Staff from the Enrollment Team!
This Friday, Nov 11th we will be hosting our second and final Open House event this fall, Discover Puget Sound! This event is a comprehensive introduction for prospective students and their families to our academic programs, the beauty of our campus, and our community.
We are thrilled to report that registration for this event is completely full! We expect nearly 400 visitors to be on campus during this time. This follows on the heels of our early application deadline in which we have successfully grown our applicant pool by 7% over last year. We have seen application volumes in our key markets return to pre-pandemic levels. Additionally, we have over 100 early decision applications, a number we have not reached since the fall 2018 enrollment cycle. We are far from 10th day next fall, but these are strong early signs for this recruitment cycle.
The schedule for prospective students and guests next Friday is as follows:
- 8 a.m.: Check-ins and Breakfast at Wheelock Student Center
- 9 a.m.: Welcome Remarks at Schneebeck Concert Hall
- 10 a.m. – Noon: Campus Tours and Info Sessions throughout Campus
- Noon: Lunch at Upper Marshall Hall
- 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m.: Drop-in Sessions at Wyatt Hall
- 1 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. - Music Day at Schneebeck Concert Hall
Some reminders for Staff & Faculty:
- Please be aware that parking may be more full than usual around the Wilson Welcome Center and other general parking lots open to the public.
- If you spot a tour, don’t hesitate to smile or say hello!
