Kelly Johnson graduated from UPS in 2019 with a major in Psychology and 2 minors in Gender & Queer Studies and Religion. Kelly now lives in Seattle and works as the Community Outreach and Volunteer Engagement Manager with University Beyond Bars, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering incarcerated individuals to fulfill their potential through communities of higher learning that transcend prison walls.
"My Gender and Queer Studies background has provided me with the critical thinking skills and relationship-oriented mindset that informs my work every day. My goal is to continue working with marginalized populations toward achieving collective liberation, and I believe education is a compelling avenue in pursuing that goal."
