Miki Memorial Scholar Award

The Miki Memorial Scholar Award provides funds to a Puget Sound graduate for tuition and fees, as well as homestay housing and roundtrip airfare, for twelve months of intensive Japanese language study at the Kyoto Institute of Culture and Language (KICL). The award also provides a monthly stipend to cover national health insurance, local transportation, and daily expenses. For additional information, please visit the the online application form.


Trimble Student Research Grant

Students who are declared Asian Studies minors, or majors in Chinese or Japanese, are eligible for the Trimble Student Research Grant. The fellowship provides a $5,000 grant to support student research in or related to Asia. The Charles Garnet Trimble Fund provides funding for this fellowship. To be considered for a Trimble Student Research Grant, students must first apply for a University Summer Research Award.
